  • Marcus Caston

Marcus has been an icon in the skiing world for over a decade. With a style that evokes memories of skiing’s roots, he is known for playful hop turns and clean arcs in just about any snow condition.

Having grown up skiing on the Snowbird Race team, his education in powder skiing and big mountain lines came hand in hand with learning how to carve a ski. Ski photography led him to his first Warren Miller trip, and he has been featured in eight of the films since.

The Return of the Turn web series he produces and stars in follows him on his journey finding impeccable turns in locations that range from the Swiss Alps to your town hill.

Marcus loves inspiring skiing’s next generation with the Party Beach Ski Camps. His coaching style is guided by his passion for the sport and philosophy of rhythm, flow, and creative expression.

  • Connery Lundin

Connery grew up ski racing in Squaw Valley, the epicenter of rad big-mountain skiing. Throughout his childhood, spotting legends like Shane McConkey, JT Holmes and CR Johnson ripping around Squaw was common. He aspired to be like those athletes.

After transitioning out of ski racing and attending the University of Colorado, he entered his first Big Mountain competition and placed 3rd. His life’s path was clear from there. Since then, he has been sponsored by brands including Blizzard/Tecnica, POC and Spyder. He was the 2015 Freeskiing World Tour Champion, and has had several segments in films from MSP and Warren Miller Entertainment.

Connery is our resident jumping and air coach and he has lead countless Party Beach campers to land their first ever backflips on skis.

The Party Beach Philosophy

It’s all about having fun! We understand that skiing is intimidating, so we are dedicated to making our ski experience a “judgment free zone,” where athletes can explore what the sport means to them.

We cultivate an inclusive environment, where it doesn’t matter who you are, what your background is, or how old you are, you’re one of us and we’re in it together. We put together small groups with high level FIS athletes, masters age adults and juniors alike, yet we are all the same age and in the same boat when we’re together on the hill. We feel that by making fun the priority, the athletes automatically push themselves and execute drills and courses with a high intensity and focus, perhaps without even realizing they’re working so hard.

As Party Beach has evolved into a big mountain freeride camp, we decided to focus on the IFSA criteria (line choice, control, fluidity, technique, style and energy). By focusing on the IFSA criteria athletes have the ability to improve skills that not only make them better contest skiers, but all-mountain rippers who can charge hard making good decisions on the hill day in and day out.
